A story involves and engages your visitor and and helps you build and establish trust. Be sure that your story is relevant to the product or service you are providing and that it is directly associated with the rest of the sales copy. 2. Focus on a Niche Market. The difference between a boring site that serves more as a touch-and-go landing strip for hundreds of click-through's and a convincing site that genereates leads and sales is the primary product or the issue dicussed on your site. Your service or product needs to provide some form of meaning or value in the minds of people. One of the best ways to create this mindset with your visitors is to address a specific issue. Another way of describing this is to focus on what is called "niche marketing." If you are selling small, square, blue widgets with red polka-dots then your visitors will be exactly those kinds of people interested in that specific market. The more precise and specific you can get the more success you will generate. If you address a bland and broad topic people will come and go; address a specific market and people who are interested in that specific market will visit and stay longer to learn what they can about what you have to say. 3. Introduce Yourself. The more people know about you the greater trust you will develop. Do not underestimate this simple fact. A lot of people may like your product or service, but if their gut feeling is you are there only to make a sale they will shy away and look for another place. People are emotional buyers. they will buy what is on your site if they like how they feel when they are on your site. One of the best ways to develop that trust is to sell yourself. Are you a family man? Do you have very many years experience in what you are selling or providing? Good sales copy goes beyond the basic English and grammer skills and extends in building rapport.
